The lack of healthcare interoperability is the biggest operational burden for healthcare organizations in 2019, according to a Stoltenberg Consulting survey of more than 300 health IT professionals who attended the 2019 HIMSS conference, per a recent report in hitinfrastructure.com. The growing volume of data from a growing number of disparate sources is continuing to stress systems, research capabilities and patient outcomes. Improved interoperability is required to drive more transparent, engaged patient care and enhance research capabilities, which in turn, will help healthcare providers meet their organizational goals.
