EIQ Products derive their unique index
and query processing technologies from previously marketed database and search
products.
EIQ Products enable MORE
CAPABILITIES AT LESS COST than conventional data
warehouses with its data transfer issues, and
federated database systems with their costly and less flexible
adapters.
EIQ Products combine structured database queries and
unstructured text search for almost any data source and
for multiple data sources simultaneously.
EIQ Products are deployed as
edgeware or middleware
and can be transparent to users and applications on one side, and
data source systems on the other.
EIQ Products in comparison to conventional
federated databases, in particular, are
relatively simple in concept and to deploy, as there are NO
adapters (in the conventional sense), NO special connectors,
and NO data schema transforms - EIQ Products make use
of user-level drivers
and data source access routes that are already available.
EIQ Products allow multiple
index types to be created for data and information, including
cleansed, fuzzy, SOUNDEX, Metaphone, stemming, synonyms, name
variation, and context indexes -
total freedom in applying index algorithms and rules
for query processing and results retrieval.
EIQ Product indexes work with
multiple metadata dictionaries, as
indexes are mapped to metadata dictionaries.
EIQ Products can work with
multiple ID authentication and security systems for matching
users and security clearances
across organizations and systems for Role-Based Access Controls
(RBACs).

Much of the
material on this Web site focuses on EIQ Server, as the other two
products, EIQ SuperAdapter and EIQ TurboCharger are reduced
feature-set versions of EIQ Server.
Other legacy products were
offered in the past and are generally no longer offered as
products; however, much of the code and techniques have been,
and can be, used in the current EIQ Products offering.
